B-COMPLEX

This medicine contains vitamin B complex, which stimulate the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins.

The lack of one of these vitamins or increased need for them causes also the need for other vitamins from this group. Therefore, when there is evidence of the lack of any vitamin B group, it is necessary to take the whole complex of vitamin B.

B-complex is used:

• For the prevention and treatment of hypovitaminosis B and avitaminosis B;
• In conditions with increased need for vitamins B;
• For impaired absorption of vitamins in patients with diseases of the digestive system and the liver;
• If you have beriberi, neuralgia, polyneuritis, neurodermatoses.

Is Vitamin B complex suitable for me?

Vitamin B complex is not suitable for everyone. Do take it if:

• you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance or to any of the ingredients
• if you have hypervitaminosis of certain vitamins

In particular, you must tell the doctor if:

• are taking medicine levodopa to treat Parkinson's disease simultaneously as taking these tablets may reduce the effect of the medicine;
• drink alcohol;
• are taking immunosuppressants, cycloserine, isoniazid, penicillamine, ethionamide, hydralazine and oral contraceptives because the need for vitamins B can be increased;
• are taking neomycin, colchicine, para-aminosalicylic acid, cimetidine, potassium preparations or chloramphenicol because they can interfere with the effectiveness of this medicine.

Vitamin B complex interacts with other medicines. It is most important that you tell the doctor all the medications and herbal supplements that you are currently taking.

How should I take vitamin B complex?

This medicine is available in form of film-coated tablets.  

You should take vitamin B complex exactly as instructed by your doctor or pharmacist.

• Adults: 1 to 2 coated tablets 2 to 3 times a day.
• Children 5-14 years: 1 coated tablet per day.

Do not use more of it, do not use it more often, or do not use it for a longer time than your doctor instructed. Do not take two doses together if you miss a dose.

What are Vitamin B complex side effects?

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, including:

Very rare side effects (occurring in less than 1 in 10,000 patients):

• hypersensitivity reactions (allergy)
• headache, blurred vision, dizziness
• diarrhea, vomiting, nausea
• skin inflammation
